This workshop presents simple methods for reaching meditation levels. Here are the reasons why they work:

1. Simple is easy to learn, easy to do, and easy to remember.

 

2. The following are from How it Works:

 

A. As more people go through these methods, it is faster and easier.

 

B. Intention is very powerful.

 

C. We are working in a group.

 

D. Commitment and Trust.

 

E. The choice is up to us (Free Will).

 

3. We already know how to reach these levels; we go through them every night when we sleep. The difference between sleep and meditation is, in meditation we remain conscious. So what we need to learn is how to remain conscious. Simple and quick make it easier to remain conscious.

Our approach does not mean that more complex methods are wrong. The way we see it, these simple methods are a good starting point to experience the characteristics and thus provide a benchmark. For example, if one is using a mantra to reach Theta, but does not feel in touch with their inner source, then it is quite possible that they are not reaching Theta. More importantly, if they are not gaining the benefits of Theta, then the mantra is not working for them. If you are gaining the benefits with these simple methods, then there may be no reason to search for more complex methods.

One piece of advice that Gale received describes this well: “It's simple, don't muck it up.”
